Why do we need a parent led committee?

Our pre-school is a registered charity which is managed by a committee of parent volunteers and we are legally required to have a percentage of current parents of children attending the preschool as members to be able to open and run the pre-school.

It’s important to know what current parents and carers want from the pre-school now and in future. The committee ensures that major decision-making is in the hands of the parents who use the group.

The committee also oversees the overall strategy and development of the pre-school, helps to develop pre-school policies and manages finances and fundraising. The committee usually meets once a term.

You can volunteer for a specific role or join as a general committee member and be involved as much as you are able. Please speak to our current committee chair person or members for further information. We love new people and new ideas which all go to benefitting your child now and others in the future.

Our AGM is held during September/October and all parents are welcome to attend.
